Happy 2018! Admittedly, I'm basically 4 weeks late to the party, but I've been running behind on all blog posts this past year, so let's call it in keeping with my style.
This year is going to be a big. I know everyone generally says that but '18 legit will be - not only will I face another bout of unemployment come mid-March, but we also have wedding on the horizon in November to prep/plan/pay for. How about we cue some stress headaches? It may be worse because we're going to have it at home so that means a whole lot of house work to get the place ready - and there are a lot of projects we want to attend to, to make the entire event special and memorable.
We have been engaged for 4 and a half weeks but already I've been asked so many questions that I just don't have the answers for yet. My mum and I went to a bridal fair the other morning, and whilst it was lovely, it didn't really help answer too many questions...though I did get some cake samples out of it :D
So I think this needs to be my motto: if I don't love it, don't do it. It won't be the end of the world. It doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg. And at the end of the day, it's just a hyped up party, right? It won't change the outcome - we're going to be married. The party is just the icing on the cake.
